The mission of the Personnel Selection and Development Program is to:

  • Apply psychological principles and practice to the research, development, and validation of operational assessment systems.

  • Conduct occupational analyses in support of personnel programs such as selection, training, career development, and succession planning.

  • Consult on implementation issues such as the interpretation and use of assessment results and the legal defensibility of personnel practices.
