At HumRRO, we\u2019ve conducted a great deal of research relevant to these themes that help guide our assessment decisions and solutions for clients: <\/p>\n<\/div><div While generative AI appears to be effective at developing test items, concerns about legal and ethical issues associated with its use persist. At HumRRO, we\u2019ve been conducting foundational research for several years on ways to leverage AI to improve efficiency for clients while navigating relevant legal and ethical issues. Some workplace examples include using AI methods to <a href=\"https:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007\/s10869-022-09824-0\">streamline job <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007\/s10869-022-09824-0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">analyses <\/a>and to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.onetcenter.org\/reports\/Related_2022.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">develop a more intuitive way to identify related occupations<\/a>, and in educational assessment, exploring how AI presents new <a href=\"https:\/\/onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/10.1111\/jedm.12331\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">challenges to building validity arguments<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div style=\"border-color:rgba(255,255,255,0);\" class=\"fusion-column content-box-column content-box-column content-box-column-2 col-lg-12 col-md-12 col-sm-12 fusion-content-box-hover content-box-column-last content-box-column-last-in-row\"><div class=\"col content-box-wrapper content-wrapper link-area-link-icon icon-hover-animation-fade\" style=\"background-color:rgba(255,255,255,0);\" data-animationOffset=\"top-into-view\"><div class=\"heading heading-with-icon icon-left\"><div class=\"icon\"><i style=\"border-color:var(--awb-color5);border-width:1px;background-color:var(--awb-color5);box-sizing:content-box;height:68px;width:68px;line-height:68px;border-radius:50%;color:#ffffff;font-size:34px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"fontawesome-icon fa-book fas circle-yes\"><\/i><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-clearfix\"><\/div><div class=\"content-container\" style=\"padding-left:90px;color:#747474;\">\n<p>Like the private sector, federal government agencies are developing and using more <strong>skills-based assessments<\/strong>. Much of the conversation at the conference focused on new technologies to facilitate these efforts, including in such areas as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.humrro.org\/corpsite\/blog\/humrros-top-10-tips-for-engaging-smes-virtually\/\">virtual meeting and workshop platforms<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.humrro.org\/corpsite\/blog\/look-before-leaping-10-issues-when-considering-remote-proctoring\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">online and remote testing<\/a>, and the development of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.humrro.org\/corpsite\/news\/humrro-awarded-five-year-personnel-testing-and-career-exploration-contract-with-the-office-of-people-analytics-opa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">computer adaptive tests<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, the IPAC Conference provided valuable insights, best practices, and discussions on the latest trends and challenges in the field of personnel assessment and talent management, including several by HumRRO experts on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/feed\/update\/urn:li:activity:7086699640779149312\"
