Outstanding Contributions in Military Selection/Recruitment Research

Uhlaner award 2017

The Society of Military Psychology awarded Deirdre Knapp the Julius E. Uhlaner Award for Outstanding Contributions in Research on Military Selection and Recruitment at the recent 2017 annual American Psychological Association (APA) convention. The awards committee noted Deirdre’s long and distinguished career as a military psychologist specializing in industrial and organizational psychology, focusing on Army recruiting and selection issues. A career-long member of APA and Division 19 (and a past-president of the division), Deirdre is well-known in both the military psychology and industrial-organizational psychology worlds.
