Patricia Keenan - Program Manager

Patricia Keenan has over 13 years of experience in testing, personnel research and development, and organizational effectiveness. She has experience in a variety of areas of organizational and personnel management research and systems. Her knowledge has led to key roles in both designing a new performance management system, and restructuring of existingperformance management systems. Her instrument development background includes job knowledge tests, performance appraisal instruments, multi-rater feedback systems (i.e., 360° feedback), and a variety of instruments that assess performance on jobs, including structured interviews, role plays, in-baskets, and tests of analytical ability and communication skills. She has used these skills to develop assessment center exercises and to conduct criterion-related validation of selection and promotion tests. Her experience includes working with supervisors and managers in state and federal government agencies, as well as working with a wide range of enlisted personnel in the military.

Gordon Waugh - Senior Staff Scientist

Dr. Gordon W. Waugh has over 10 years of experience in job analysis, test development, test validation, performance measurement, and certification testing. He has developed several situational judgment tests; three were for projects for the US Army Research Institute. He has presented some of his considerable research on Situational Judgment Tests (SJTs) at professional conferences. Dr. Waugh uses several advanced analytical techniques including factor analysis, structural equation modeling, survival analysis (i.e., event history analysis), classical item analysis, and item response theory (IRT) analysis. He occasionally writes computer programs in SAS to automate psychometric analyses (e.g., for the NCO21 and AT-SAT projects). He has also written a stand-alone computer program which is used during all phases of developing a multiple-choice test. Dr. Waugh has a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of South Florida.

Tiffany Day - Research Associate

Ms. Day has a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology with a concentration in Assessment, Evaluation and Testing. As a Research Associate, she is responsible for assisting in the conduct of research and analysis for the organization’s Employee Performance Enhancement and Growth (EPEG) program area. However, she has a broad base of experience supporting other program areas within HumRRO. Her primary area of expertise is in the development of knowledge-based, performance assessments for certification, selection and promotion purposes. Ms. Day currently serves as Project Director for two professional support credentials – the Direct Care Alliance (DCA), and the American Board of Audiology (ABA) – and provides research and developmental support for other certification-related projects on behalf of professional associations, including the Community Associations Institute (CAI), the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), and the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA). Her work involves conducting and updating job analyses, developing test blueprints and test instruments, and analyzing and evaluating test performance. Ms. Day also has experience developing project budgets; developing and delivering training; collecting and analyzing survey data; facilitating development activities such as item writing, validity review, and standard setting; and conducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis.

Mary Adeniyi - Research Associate

Mary Adeniyi has experience in administrative, research, and human resource management and development (HRM/HRD) roles and functions. Mary also has experience in conducting qualitative research and analysis, test item writing and reviewing, facilitating meetings and workshops, and has been involved in organizational development (OD) consulting projects related to addressing challenges of organizational realignment and restructuring, and organizational climate study issues. Mary has her BA in Psychology from Michigan State University, an MS in Human Resource Management from Nova Southeastern University, and is currently all but dissertation (ABD) in her doctorate program in Human & Organizational Learning at The George Washington University.
