Organizational Assessment and Organizational Development Pilot Implementation and Evaluation Projects
HumRRO assisted the former Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), now part of the Department of Homeland Security, to conduct an organizational assessment and to design, implement, and evaluate six pilot projects in response to results from the assessment.
HumRRO implemented and evaluated pilots at 17 U.S. locations to increase communications through national town hall meetings, improve intranet use with a job aid, write and electronically distribute a monthly publication on leadership training and development, create a career development manual, design a coworker recognition program, and present a program to increase employee involvement.
We conducted a large-scale field experiment including pre- and post-implementation measures at pilot and control sites to assess results for different types of sites and occupations. We assisted INS/DHS to institutionalize some of the pilots nation-wide.
