Senior Staff Scientist

HumRRO's Educational Policy Impact Center seeks an experienced, motivated individual to contribute to the organization's expanding educational research activities. Responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:

• Design and implement rigorous program evaluation projects
• Plan and implement educational policy impact studies
• Develop and pilot data collection instruments
• Conduct quantitative (e.g., SPSS, SAS) and qualitative analyses of educational outcome data
• Prepare technical and interpretive materials
• Prepare proposals and conduct oral presentations

The position requires knowledge of educational measurement, evaluation, and policy issues; applied research design; assessment and validation; research methodology; and multivariate statistical analyses. The candidate must have effective written and oral communication skills, and be capable of managing multiple simultaneous task assignments and complete tasks independently and on time. Experience with project management, marketing, and proposal preparation is a strong plus. Ph.D. in educational assessment and measurement, program evaluation, or an education-related discipline with at least 3 years relevant work experience is preferred.
