HumRRO's Assessment, Training, and Policy Studies Division (ATPSD) conducts applied research in a variety of areas and supports operational needs for our clients’ assessment and training programs. Our client base is primarily drawn from the U.S. Armed Forces, Federal and state civilian government agencies, as well as private or non-profit organizations. Our applied research focuses largely on the design, development, and evaluation of effective testing and training programs, manpower and personnel policy analysis, and policy/decision-making modeling and simulation. Division personnel devote themselves to a variety of projects, including conducting research to assist policy-makers at all levels of government, developing training content using simulations in traditional and online environments, evaluating the effectiveness of training in a variety of contexts, developing and supporting credentialing (licensure and certification) programs for a wide array of professions, and supporting enlistment testing programs in the Department of Defense.
